At WCC Business Solutions, we like to recognize the hard work of our employees. And this month, we’d like to shine our employee spotlight on the winner of the Employee of the Quarter for Q3, Keven Bock.
Keven is a Professional Services Engineer in our IT and Professional Services Department. Prior to serving in this role, he was in charge of installing hardware at customer sites for a number of years. He was also responsible for supporting customers remotely and still lends a hand with both of those roles, today.
Keven works incredibly hard to make sure that our customers are getting the best possible solutions to meet their needs and that implementation goes smoothly.
Can you tell us more about your role in professional services?
I get involved after our sales team has identified a solution that could help a new customer streamline processes and improve productivity. I also occasionally work with existing clients who have solutions in place that need more functionality. In this case, I’d be the one to plan, build and configure those.
Typically, when a solution is identified, the salesperson will schedule a discovery meeting with the new client, where I gather all the information about what we’re trying to accomplish as well as information on the client’s network environment.
What do you most enjoy about your job?
Definitely problem solving! I enjoy my job the most when I’m trying something new with a software and run into a problem. I love solving problems and I’m at my best when I’m learning something new.
What do you enjoy most about working at WCC Business Solutions?
I’ve been with the company for four years and one of the things that’s always impressed me about WCC is the vision. The owner, Gordy Link, wants this company to be the premier technology provider in Tampa Bay. With our amazing team, I have no doubt we will be.
What are the greatest changes you’ve seen since joining the team at WCC?
I’ve seen the business grow in size and culture. This company has made major investments in making our infrastructure stable, which will keep our roots strong and set the basis for future growth.
What do you think makes us different from our competitors?
We have a unique approach to tackling client problems. Sure, we offer the hardware, but we also offer the solutions that work in tandem with the hardware to improve office efficiency. Many of our competitors stick just to the hardware end rather than looking at the whole ecosystem to have the greatest possible impact.
What do you do when you aren’t in the office?
I’m a super big fan of hockey. I play at a local rink once a week and I’m a big Tampa Bay Lightning fan. Other than that,I like to enjoy what my area has to offer, like the many amazing stops for food, recreation and leisure.
