It’s that time of year when we always reflect back on the many blessings from the previous year and look with anticipation to what’s coming in the new year. We recently chatted with President Gordy Link to discus WCC’s efforts to give back to the community, his reflections on 2019 and what he anticipates as we move forward into 2020.
WCC has a number of philanthropic initiatives. Could you please share what some of those are?
We are always looking for opportunities to support our customers who have local non-profits that support our communities and the people in it. I think that we have deep partnerships with one another. I believe it’s important to support these organizations that make such a big impact. FARA–Friedreich’s Ataxia Research Alliance–is probably the closest to my heart, as I have seen first-hand the progress they are making to cure this devastating disease that affects so many children. These kids and their families are amazing and they are getting closer to a cure.
What are the major accomplishments for which you are most proud, looking back at 2019?
I think the biggest accomplishment goes to my team. They have really come together to serve our clients and each other. I am so proud of them and all of the hard work they do and how they work together to deliver an amazing customer experience. It’s through their efforts that we won another ENX magazine award, the magazine that honors the top-performing office technology dealerships each year. It was solely through their efforts that that was possible. I am so excited to see them continue to grow.
What do you expect to be the major focus in 2020?
Our major focus is to continue to develop our team and look for ways we can bring more value to our clients. We are looking for ways to give our clients the best service in the industry. We are also always exploring new products and solutions that will allow them to grow their businesses as profitably as possible. We have grown this business by being entirely customer focused and that will only continue in 2020.
What is one message you would like to share with customers for the holiday season?
I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season and a prosperous new year. And on behalf of our entire team, I want our customers to know how thankful we are for their trust in placing their businesses with WCC. They are the reason we exist.
